Overview
49th Dodge Street, is part of Omaha by Design’s Art+Infrastructure initiative, a public art program that transforms everyday urban infrastructure into opportunities for creativity and community engagement. Installed on a utility box along Omaha’s ORBT rapid transit corridor, the work contributes to a series of artist-designed wraps that bring visual interest to the city’s public spaces.
Project Goal
The project aimed to enhance overlooked urban spaces, creating moments of connection, safety, and delight for residents and visitors while supporting the identity of Omaha’s transit corridor.

Process
The artwork was designed specifically for a three-dimensional utility box, considering visibility from multiple viewpoints and integration with the surrounding streetscape. The final design was produced as a durable vinyl wrap and installed as part of a larger public art initiative.
